For
many years the current owner of Comet Services Ltd, Denis
Tilson, has had a strong interest in developing new
products and processes. Recently he decided to seek
a buyer or partner for Comet Services Ltd so that
he could develop a completely new business based around
robotic welding. It is Denis's intention to offer Robotic
welding and pre-cutting services to other manufacturers
who can benefit from this new venture.
Denis says that robotic welding can produce huge savings
for manufacturers
trying to compete with cheaper imported products. DTD will
offer various services including Jig Design, Jig
Construction, Robot programming, parts cutting and of
course finally welding.
DTD will do as much, or as little of any project as a
client requires, and prospective clients should realize
that some of the major benefits of Robotic welding include
speed, consistency, accuracy and quick repeatability. Once
a jig has been made and the computer programmed, it
becomes economical to produce even smaller runs of
product.
